Annual Florida Bar Convention

The Annual Florida Bar Convention provides the ideal environment to network with colleagues, judges and friends. Attendees can take advantage of many CLE-eligible seminars and connect with vendors that can help lawyers manage, simplify, and grow their practice.

 

Unfortunately, the room block currently sold out within 2 hours. The Florida Bar recommends frequently checking the booking link to see if rooms have become available due to cancellations, which will occur as attendees sort our their travel plans. Overflow rooms have been secured at The Hyatt Place, and additional overflow blocks will be added as soon as they are available

 

The Florida Bar was also able to secure some overflow accommodations:

 

The Hyatt Place Boca Raton Downtown

 

The Hyatt Place is less than 1 mile from The Boca Raton and located in the heart of downtown. The room rate is $139 per night for a standard room (plus 13% tax), which includes breakfast, wireless Internet and discounted parking of $15 per day.

 

Cancellation must be made at least 48 hours prior to expected arrival.

Waterstone Resort & Marina, Curio Collection by Hilton

 

Rooms are available between June 24 and June 28. Room rate is $215, which includes $16 resort fee (regularly $32 per day) but not tax. Valet parking reduced to $15 per day (regularly $31 per day)

 

 

Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel

 

Rooms are available between June 23 and June 29. The special group rate is $169 per night. Last day to book is Monday, June 2.

It's The Government Lawyer Section is proud to announce its awards season, featuring four distinguished awards and scholarships:


Robert A. Butterworth Public Service Scholarship: Awarded to rising third-year law students in Florida who demonstrate a strong interest in government service and have a documented financial needs. Applications are due May 1st.

 

Claude Pepper Outstanding Government Lawyer Award: Presented to government lawyers with at least 10 years of service, whose character and accomplishments exemplify the highest ideals of public service. The nomination deadline is April 15

 

Lifetime Achievement Award: The Government Lawyer Section’s highest honor, recognizing long-term public servants. This award is presented selectively, not necessarily annually.

 

Distinguished Public Service Award: Presented at the midyear meeting, this award recognizes dedicated government lawyers, typically with at least five years of public service, whose recent contributions to the profession and community merit special recognition.
